Second new logistics building in Lehr-Flechtorf near Wolfsburg
Automotive Logistics Center Flechtorf
GARBE is developing a state-of-the-art conversion and tyre logistics centre for the tenant Volkswagen AG at the Flechtorf site, just outside Wolfsburg. The two hall ships, each with approx. 17,500 sqm, are connected by a central loading and final loading area with approx. 4,300 sqm. In the western part of the hall, on an area of approx. 2,000 sqm, there is a workshop area in which the vehicles of Volkswagen employees are equipped with the seasonal tyres. In the rest of the halls, these and other tyres are stored.
By renting this tyre and conversion centre, Volkswagen AG was able to secure one of the last remaining areas with direct connections to Wolfsburg and a location on the A 39 motorway.
The location has an optimal geographical location for an automotive logistics centre with motorway connections (A2 and A39) as well as the proximity to Wolfsburg and Braunschweig. The main plant of Volkswagen AG is only 12 km away and can be reached in less than 15 minutes.
Planning
The requirements of the tenant can be optimally planned and implemented in close coordination with the general contractor.
Consulting
In cooperation with general contractor and tenant, a new building was developed here, which optimally supports the tenant's logistics concept.
Construction
The project will be completed in Q3 2021.
The ideal connection to the city of Wolfsburg and the flexibility in the implementation of the desired layout was the decisive reason for our tenant to bind to GARBE and the building with a long-term lease.

A 3-storey distribution and logistics project is being built at the Achim site. This realisation of a fulfilment centre over several floors is the first of its kind for GARBE.
The logistics property in the Vienna metropolitan region is particularly noteworthy for its divisibility from 5,000 m² and the possibility of cross-dock delivery.
