Garbe Logistic AG is exhibiting at Expo Real in Munich

Hamburg, 5 October 2015 – When the “Who’s Who” of the real estate and investment industry met at the Expo Real in Munich from 5 to 7 October, Garbe Logistic AG was at the party. At the Hamburg shared booth in Hall B2.430, the company presented its comprehensive scope of services, which range from project development and the purchase and sale of investment properties to property management and fund management.

“For us, Expo Real is a central event, especially for dialogue with investors and proprietors who let properties, and also in part with larger tenants,” says Jan Dietrich Hempel, Garbe Logistic AG Board Director. The primary focus is on the acquisition of other properties for IVG Garbe Logistik Fonds. The interest in acquisitions encompasses a wide range of logistics purposes, including distribution, e-commerce and cross-dock. The market here, however, is noticeably tighter; prices are rising while quality is often declining.

Moreover, Garbe Logistic AG intends to use Europe’s largest trade fair for real estate and investments in order to provide information about the current developments in the company’s operations. Jan Dietrich Hempel: “In response to the pressing scarcity of space in the market, we have been focusing for quite some time on the topic of the future: conversion and transformation of existing real estate. We have implemented recent projects in this vein in, for example, Dortmund, Mannheim, Salzgitter and the Saarland. It pays to explain this topic to investors because there is a lot of potential here, but a lack of information often creates reservations.”

The Expo Real will launch with an increase in exhibitors. With 1,692 (2014: 1,655) exhibitors from 33 countries, the real estate trade show registered slight growth. According to the event organizer, Messe München, the share of international exhibitors has also increased, representing 23 percent of all exhibitors this year.
