Ludwigsau/Hamburg, 6. February 2025 – Garbe Industrial Real Estate GmbH has concluded another significant rental agreement. In the north Hessian town of Ludwigsau (Hersfeld-Rotenburg district, Germany), a well-known manufacturer of outdoor equipment will be moving into a site covering a total of around 55,000 square metres.
“To us, the signing of the contract is of particular importance, as with this large-scale rental we are seamlessly following on from the successful lettings we have achieved in recent months,” says Adrian Zellner, Member of the Executive Board of Garbe Industrial Real Estate. He is pleased with the continuation of the succesful series. “My thanks go to everyone who contributed to this great result.”
The logistics property, developed by Garbe Industrial Real Estate and constructed by Fabrikon as general contractor, consists of two parallel buildings. They were set up in the Mecklar-Meckbach industrial estate, within the triangle formed by the towns of Bad Hersfeld, Bebra and Rotenburg an der Fulda. The investment volume amounts to around 100 million euros. Garbe Industrial Real Estate had already let 32,000 square metres of space to a car manufacturer, for the storage of spare parts. Around 8,400 square metres are still available in the property and can be occupied at short notice.
Garbe Industrial Real Estate had realised the new building as a multi-user property without fixed rental commitments. “The two contracts signed recently show that high-quality properties in attractive locations remain in demand even in challenging times,” says Adrian Zellner. The new building in Ludwigsau was constructed according to internationally recognised ESG criteria and certified with Gold by the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB).
The location is connected to the A 4 Kirchheim − Dresden motorway via the B 27 Göttingen − Fulda federal road. The Kirchheimer Dreieck junction provides access to the A 7 motorway, one of Germany’s most important north-south axes. It connects Flensburg in Schleswig-Holstein with Füssen in Bavaria.
The real estate service provider CBRE acted as a broker for the rental.
