Hamburg, 30 October 2019 – GARBE Industrial Real Estate GmbH acquires Business Campus Kiel in Kiel-Suchsdorf as part of an asset deal. The multi-tenant business campus includes 12 properties with a total rental space of approximately 76,700 square metres, with office, production, light industrial and storage uses. The seller is a European family office represented exclusively by Stargime Deutschland GmbH. Savills acted as consultants throughout the purchase. The parties have agreed to maintain discretion about the purchase price.
Business Campus Kiel was acquired by Stargime in 2010 and has been continuously developed by Stargime since then. The property is fully let with a WAULT of 8.7 years. Anchor tenants include Vossloh Locomotives GmbH, a European market leader in the construction of diesel locomotives, and Rheinmetall Landsysteme GmbH and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen GmbH, world leading manufacturer of sheetfed offset printing machines.
“The Business Campus is situated in an attractive location with excellent transport connections and it boasts internationally renowned tenants with a high credit rating. The properties have multi-use spaces, which means we can cater to the individual needs of the tenant as required. Business Campus Kiel also offers potential for expansion,” explains Christopher Garbe, Board Director of GARBE Industrial Real Estate GmbH.
Business Campus was constructed between 1962 and 2016 in several construction phases. A new production hall (approx. 16,000 square metres) and an administrative building (approx. 2,500 square metres) were constructed most recently in 2016 for Vossloh Locomotives. The property is located in an established commercial park with excellent transport connections. Around 1,000 skilled personnel work on the campus.
